Partnership:
Artistry by Design was founded by two women whose complementary talents and friendship made them natural partners in this unique enterprise.
Sue Lambert and Kim Hamm met at their children’s school six years ago, and soon found that they shared a passion for interior design, and objects with both beauty and functionality. But it is perhaps their differences that prove most valuable in their partnership, Artistry by Design.
Kim is an experienced artist, Sue an equally experienced businesswoman. Together they offer unique, custom-designed gifts and premiums to corporate clients and various niche markets throughout the United States.
Kim, born and raised in Montana, began drawing as a child on old newsprint. Her lifelong artistic pursuits since then have ranged from award-winning murals to digital photography, when she wasn’t busy raising her four children with husband Ron. It’s with a photographer’s eye, but a painter’s sensibility, that Kim creates the unique original designs that grace the many products from Artistry by Design.
Sue, a Chicago area native, brings a strong business background to the partnership, based on her experience as co-owner of an automotive service franchise with husband Mike, her high school sweetheart and father of their two children.
Artistry by Design’s custom creations are all made by combining an original design created by Kim. This image is transferred onto a product through a high-tech printing process that uses intense heat and pressure.
